How to test a swap address with a tiny amount first
Send a fraction of the intended amount as a test transaction before moving the full sum. This single step exposes problems - wrong network, expired address, or a scam - while the loss stays trivial.

This asset needs a memo / tag. Send it with or the exchanger cannot credit your deposit.
You receive about at . Exchange reference .
Status: waiting for your deposit
You send from your own wallet straight to the exchanger — nothing to connect, no account, and you stay on this page throughout. Rates are indicative until a swap is opened.
The swap is carried out by an independent exchanger and the deposit address above is theirs. chengshionsol.xyz never holds, receives or controls your funds, has no key to that address, and earns a referral commission. Opening a swap sends your receiving address, IP, browser and timezone to the exchanger for their compliance checks; we store none of it. Check their terms, fees and country restrictions before sending anything.
The reasoning is simple: human error is common, and cryptocurrencies are irreversible. A small test is cheap insurance.
What a test amount should be
Use the smallest unit your wallet supports. For most coins, this means the minimum withdrawable amount or the dust limit (often 0.0001 of the main unit or less). If the destination address belongs to an exchange, check whether that exchange imposes a minimum deposit. Your test must exceed whatever floor the exchange enforces, or the transaction stays uncredited and you cannot confirm the address works.
A good rule: test with an amount worth a few cents or the equivalent of a coffee. If that feels wasteful, consider how you will feel losing the full sum.
What to check
After the test transaction confirms on the blockchain:
- Does the balance arrive? Log into the destination account. Look at the correct wallet or sub-account. Confirm the test amount shows up as an available balance.
- Is the network correct? Many exchanges assign a specific network for each coin. Sending a Binance-based token to an Ethereum address will lose funds. Your test confirms compatibility.
- Does the address match? Scammers replace clipboard content with fraudulent addresses. Always compare the pasted address character by character after you paste it. A test transaction confirms the pasted address is live and controlled by the intended recipient.
- How long did it take? Some networks are faster than others. If the test takes hours, you might want a faster route for the main transfer.
Why a test is not paranoid
Swap addresses change. Exchanges rotate deposit addresses periodically. Static QR codes in saved screenshots become dangerous. Testing verifies the address is current.
Also, human focus slips. Filling in a swap form while distracted - tired, during a market move, while multitasking - is the moment mistakes happen. The test creates a forced pause.
What if the test fails
If the tiny amount does not arrive, stop. Do not send more. Troubleshoot these possibilities:
- The address was wrong. Recheck each character.
- The network was mismatched. Some exchanges require you to select the network on their end. Verify both sides match.
- The transaction is still pending. Check a block explorer. If hours pass with no confirmations, the network is congested or you used too low a fee.
- The destination service does not credit very small deposits. Some exchanges have a "minimum deposit" that is higher than their displayed limit. Contact support with the transaction hash.
Never just try again with a larger amount hoping the problem self-corrects. It will not.
When you are sure the test succeeded
Now move the rest to the same address, using the same network, with an adequate fee. The test has already told you everything works.
